Aberfeldy

Aberfeldy offers a 12 year old and a 21 year old single malt.  Both are full bodied and have hints of oranges.

Recently opened in Aberfeldy is the Dewar's World of Whisky centre.

 

Ardbeg

Ardbeg is possibly the most peaty malt whisky in the world and is definitely the most peaty of all the Islay malts. Arbeg’s distillery is open to the public.

Auchentoshan

Auchentoshan is billed as "the world’s No. 1 best selling lowland single malt," and is available in Classic, 12 year, 18 year old, 21 year and three wood varieties. Unusually for a Scottish distillery, Auchentoshan practices triple distillation and uses unpeated malt which gives Auchentoshan a more delicate flavour than many Scotch Whiskies.

The distillery is open to visitors.

 

 

Balblair

Balblair was first opened in 1790 and Balblair single Malt whisky is bottled in three vintages - 1997, 1989 and 1979.

Unfortunately the distillery is not open to the public.  

 

Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis Single Malt whisky is a peaty Highland Malt distilled at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain. Ben Nevis offers a range of single malts as well as blends.

Bladnoch

Bladnoch distillery produces a 10 year old and a 15 year old single malt.  The distillery has whisky school in which you can enrol to give you a hands on experience of making whisky.

Blair Athol

Blair Athol Distillery produces a 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, with a mellow deep-toned aroma, a strong fruity flavour and a smooth finish. The distillery is open to visitors.

 

Bowmore

Peat, water, wood, people and tradition accumulate to create the subtle, warm and smoky character of Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Bowmore 18 year old recently won the WSC prize for the best whisky in the World out of over 700 other competitors in a blind tasting. The distillery has a visitors centre.

 

 

Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich is a more subtle malt than some of the other Islay whiskies as it uses water from a reservoir rather than from springs.  It is a lightish fresh-tasting whisky with a hint of peat but not as strong as other whiskies from the island.

Bunnahabhain

Bunnahabhain is sweeter than most of the other Islay malts and is a popular after-dinner dram. It is the only completely unpeated whisky on Islay.

Caol Ila

Caol Ila is one of the lighter Islay whiskies and is ideal as an aperitif. It is pale in colour, with peaty, floral and peppery notes. In addition to being sold as a single malt, it is used heavily in blends such as Johnnie Walker.

 

Clynelish

Clynelish Distillery produces a single malt Scotch whisky from six traditional copper stills.  Clynelish is popular for use in blending. When the original distillery was built the quality of Clynelish whisky was so prized that only private customers were supplied.

 

Dalmore

Dalmore is a full flavoured and bodied Highland whisky.  It is believed to be so good because of the quality of water from Loch Kildermorie.

 

Dalwhinnie

Dalwhinnie is a Speyside malt which is smooth and warming and goes very well with chocolate.

Dalwhinnie’s visitor centre is open all year.

Deanston

15% of the Deanston distillery’s produce is bottled as a single malt.  The other 85% is used for blending. The 12 year old malt has a fresh floral nose and a gentle sweet maltiness.

 

Edradour

Edradour is a single highland malt whisky made in what is believed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland at Pitlochry. Only twelve casks are produced each week. They distillery offers a free tour with a dram at the end.

Fettercairn

Old Fettercairn 12 year old single malt is the most common produce of Fettercairn distillery.  It also produces a 15 year old Sherry Wood malt and a 15 year old American Oak malt.

Girvan

Girvan distillery was built to supply grain whisky to its blended brands of the Glenfiddich group.

 

 

Glen Garioch
The Glen Garioch distillery is located in the Highlands between Speyside and the east cost of Scotland. The taste of this 15 years old malt whisky is smokey and sweet with a flavour of lavender.
Glengoyne
This single malt whisky is produced for over 200 years in the distillery which is named from “Glen Guin”. This beautiful distillery is located close to Loch Lomond and only 15 miles far away from Glasgow. The Glengoyne distillery own a visitor shop including personalized bottles and special bottling.
Glen Ord
Glen Ord is a 12 year old malt whisky with a sweet, malty flavor and dry on the palate. The distillery is located in the west of the Highlands near to Inverness.
Glen Scotia
This distillery is one of the last two surviving distilleries in Campelltown. They produce a single malt scotch whisky which is available as 12, 14, 17 and 26 years old bottling.
Highland Park
Highland Park distillery is situated on the Island near to Kirkwall, Orkney and so the northernmost distillery in the world. It is also the only distillery in Orkney which still produce the single malt scotch whisky and they carry out simultaneously they use the traditional floor malting.

Isle of Jura
The Jura distillery is located in the Highlands on the Isle of Jura. The distillery have been founded around 1810. The whisky distilled is make by a typical peaty Islay style. The whisky is available as 10, 16 and 21 year bottling.
Lagavulin
Lagavulin contains of a powerful and peat smoke aroma. Indicated as robustly full bodied, well balanced and smooth with a little sweetness in the palate. The distillery is close to the south coast of Islay in a small bay.
Laphroaig
Laphroaig is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky which is one of the most strongly flavored of all scotch whiskies. The most popular ones are aged to 10 and 15 years. The distillery was established in 1815 and is located on Islay.
Loch Lomond
The distillery was founded in 1965 in a village of Alexandria besides the river Leven close to Loch Lomond in the Highlands. The distillery produces 8 different single malt whiskies and they have s total production of over 2m litres a year. The taste of the whiskies is sweet and smoky with a slightly peaty nose.
North British
North British distillery is Edinburgh’s last working distillery it is directly situated in the centre of Edinburgh. This distillery carries out its own malting on site using only maize with a high percentage of green malt. When the distillery works on full production they can produce 10 bottles of whisky in only 1 second.
Oban
The 14 years old Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky has his home in the west region of Highlands. The distillery was founded in 1794 and it looks out to the sea from the town centre of Oban.
Port Dundas
Is located in north of Glasgow on the North Canal Bank Street. The flavor of the whisky is a kind of oily, hint of sherry, figs and cream.
Pulteney
The distillery was established in 1826 and is situated in the Highlands of Scotland. The whisky is available in 12 and 15 years old bottling and the flavour is medium bodied and smooth with a dean finish.
Royal Brackla
Royal Brackla Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a 10 years old whisky. The distillery is close to Cawdor in the Highlands and was founded in 1812. The main production is used in blends as johnnie Walker, Gold Label, Dewars and Bisset’s Finest Old.
Scapa
Scapa Single Malt Scotch Whisky is available in 10 and 12 years old bottling. The distillery was founded in 1885 is located in the Island region on Orkney Islands.
Speyside
The Speyside distillery is situated on the banks of the river Tromie in the region of Speyside in the Highlands. The taste of the whisky slightly peaty with creamy ripples of hazelnut.
Speyside Malts
The Scottish Speysides malts whiskies have a peaty and salient character. The flavor is compared to pear drops and they are highly perfumed with the savor of roses, apples, violets, cream soda, lemonade and carnations.

Springbank

Springbank is the only distillery in Scotland to produce three different single malts, Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn, using three different production methods. Tours of the distillery are available and visitors can also enjoy a relaxing dram after the tour in the luxurious Tasting Room.

 

Talisker

Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye. Talisker is a sweet, full-bodied single malt and was one of Robert Louis Stevenson’s  favourite whiskies. Talisker has a visitor centre.

Tobermory

Tobermory is a very small, old distillery and is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull.  Tobermory produces two products, a malt and a blend.  We can arrange a visit for you to Tobermory distillery.

 

Tomatin

Tomatin 12 year old is a classic single Highland malt whisky. Tomatin has a lightly peated, delicate flavour. Tomatin has a four star visitor centre.
